No virar da tarde para a noite, os sons de Romulo preenchem o corpo da Leviatã, até escaparem em sopro noite adentro, vagueando os prédios ao redor e cravando com ruído e melodia o silêncio.
Bestiário é o terceiro de uma série de álbuns audiovisuais proposto pelo idealizador e editor da Leviatã Iago Mati, gravado no espaço da editora em julho de 2020, em colaboração com o trompetista, performer e compositor Romulo Alexis, um dos músicos improvisadores mais ativos da cena de São Paulo.
At the turn of the afternoon into the evening, the sounds of Romulo filled the body of Leviatã until they escaped in wind into the night, wandering the buildings around, and striking the silence with melody and noise.
Bestiário is the third of a series of audiovisual albums proposed by the creator and editor of Leviatã Iago Mati, recorded at the publisher's space in July 2020 in collaboration with the trumpeter, performer, and composer Romulo Alexis, one of the most active improvisation musicians in the scene of São Paulo.
Batizado por ele, “Bestiário é a evocação e o exorcismo movimentados pela energia vital em sopro” — aos sopros, no trompete, shenai e piston cretino, ele dá o “som triturado, lambido, moído e acariciado no trânsito entre melodia bestial e ruído excelso”.
Com captação de som por Renan Gama/Transfônico e imagens, edição e filme por Iago Mati, o álbum audiovisual ganha corpo e estreia sua primeira parte com três faixas iniciais.
Baptized by Romulo, “Bestiário is the evocation and exorcism moved by the vital energy in wind” — to the winds, in the trumpet, shenai and piston cretino, he plays the “crushed, licked, ground sound, caressed in the transit between bestial melody and eminent noise”.
With sound recording by Renan Gama/Transfônico and images, edition and film by Iago Mati, the audiovisual album takes shape and premieres its first part with three initial tracks.
