Maquinaria é uma série de apresentações com foco na criação de sons intermediada pela máquina, com performances de Antonia Manhartsberger, Bella, Mari Herzer e Stefanie Egedy.

Por máquina, estende-se nossa relação com computadores, eletrônicos, motores e toda uma gama de objetos inventados que se colocam como agentes da criação, juntamente com nossas mãos, dedos, corpo/mente.

Antonia Manhartsberger tem como foco a espacialização do som, considerando suas facetas perceptivas e estéticas. Seu trabalho se dá em performances, em que analisa questões políticas e sociais e suas mediações criativa, instalações, performances multimídia, peças de mídia fixa e lives eletrônicas, além de ser a fundadora e curadora do “pla-e-ground”, jam session eletrônica em Graz, Áustria.

Bella cria sons a partir de ondas inaudíveis, trabalhando o som como matéria maleável no espaço _ fluxos energéticos _ visões. Nessa performance, dá continuidade a Hadron, peça improvisada em que explora a relação entre eletromagnetismo, natureza e sonhos.

Mari Herzer apresenta suas composições musicais, em que boa parte é música-drone baseada na repetição e sobreposição de timbres gerados por computador, um pequeno semi-modular e pós-produção digital.

Stefanie Egedy apresenta Conversas sobre a linguagem, uma investigação sobre a interação entre linguagem verbal e linguagem sonora e musical a partir da combinação de conversas gravadas com sons texturizados e ondas de baixa frequência sonora, como o meio para possivelmente se comunicar algo ao ouvinte.

Maquinaria (“Machinery”) is a series of presentations focused on the creation of sounds intermediated by the machine, with performances of Antonia Manhartsberger, Bella, Mari Herzer and Stefanie Egedy.

By machine, extends our relation with computers, electronics, motors and an array of invented objects as agents of creation, along with our hands, fingers, body/mind.

Antonia Manhartsberger focus on the spatialization of sound, considering its perceptive and aesthetic facets. Her work is presented in performances, in which she analyses social and political questions and their creative mediations, installations, multimedia performances, fixed-media pieces and live-electronics, besides being the founder and curator of “pla-e-ground”, electronic jam session happening in Graz, Austria.

Bella create sounds from inaudible waves, working the sound as malleable matter through the space _ energetic flows _ visions. In this performance, she continues Hadron, an improvisation piece exploring the relation among electromagnetism, nature and dreams.

Mari Herzer present her musical compositions in which most of it is drone-music based on the repetition and overlapping of timbers generated by a computer, a small semi-modular and digital post-production.

Stefanie Egedy presents Conversas sobre a linguagem (“Conversations on language”), an investigation about the interaction between verbal language and musical and sound language from the combination of recorded conversations with texturized sounds and low frequency sound waves, as means to possibly communicate something to the listener.
